I don’t have Mavericks and I have not tested this website.
But it’s a resource for people that want to remain on Mavericks.
Hope this helps someone.
That is so cool! Thank you @bogdanw.
You did a heck of a lot of work making that site, both in the research to find appropriate software and development of the programs you wrote and also the website which is really easy to use and fun.Yep, that's my site! I've actually been meaning to make a thread on here, but I feel weird promoting my own stuff. Now I don't have to!
Basically, no, I've tried before. It's possible a different Mac models might have worked out better, but really you'd be better off getting your hands on some Mavericks compatible hardware. If installing a newer version of macOS not officially supported is possible through Open Core (Sequoia on 2015 MBP), is it possible for older version? The oldest I can install officially is 10.10.5 Yosemite

Hit a glitch with 'create-bootable-installer.command' - theres an 'if' near the end but its typed as 'fi'.
fi
is how you end an if
statement in a shell script. I don't see anything wrong (and the script works for me), what error did you run into?Great. Wish I knew what the issue with the script was but I guess we'll never know. Using Disk Utility is just as good, the script exists because people were having issues with Disk Utility for some reason.Used disk utility to restore the iso to the stick, rebooted and now have Mavericks installed.
It could be just a local hardware issue ..or operator error, wow.Great. Wish I knew what the issue with the script was but I guess we'll never know. Using Disk Utility is just as good, the script exists because people were having issues with Disk Utility for some reason.
You can thank me for the website but the updated Firefox is entirely thanks to i3roly, it’s really amazing how well it works.Wow - I didn't know of that website. I'm shocked that there's an updated Firefox for Mavericks. I thought I was stuck on version 78 forever. Thanks Wowfunhappy!
I'm a High Sierra guy but, TBH, I'm not so keen on APFS. This issue that affects me is.forward compatibility. E.lg., I cn't read my wife's Monterey backup on my Sierra MacMini. I doln't think Steve-o would have allowed this oversight. Thanks for your great site!Basically, no, I've tried before. Thank you! ☺️
