Mavericks on late 2009 macbook aluminum?

Hello friends,

I would like to know if any of you installed mavericks on late 2009 macbook aluminum. I want to do it so much but I don't have a backup source and I am frightened to lose it all (because I did so with the mountain lion upgrade). I will wait to get a secondary hdd or just enough comments that it will be fine to upgrade from appstore.
