Mavericks reboot time

I did a fresh install off mavericks on my early 2013 rMBP with 16gb ram. when i reboot, it shows the grey screen for about 10 seconds then reboots. not sure if i noticed this before and if someone can see how their macbook treats this sequence. thanks
