Is anybody else experiencing problems regarding the scrolling?

I've found on both my rMPB and iMac that when scrolling through a web page or a word document that it is very jumpy / sluggish. Not as slick as i remember mountain lion being.

Is this a known problem or is there a fix for this? Very irritating:mad:!!

What are your specs?

For Safari, I found it's pretty smooth most of the time on my 2012 rMBP. But for Chrome, after wake up from sleep or after GPU switch, it may lose GPU acceleration and scrolling will be very sluggish. You can check the GPU status by typing in "chrome://gpu". Restart Chrome solves the problem for me.

What are your specs? 13" or 15"?

Same here :( Safari, Chrome and all apps where horizontal scrolling is possible.

Not sure if this is the info you need but here goes:

MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch Early 2013, 2.6 Ghz intel Core i5, 8gb 1600 Mhz DDR3 intel HD Graphics 4000 1024MB.

iMac 27-inch, Late 2012, 3.2GHz intel core i5 12gb 1333MHz DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GTX ^&%MX 1024MB.

This problem occurs in both Chrome and Safari on both Macs. I have noticed in in Microsoft word and other problems aswell. S

New install, then restored all my programmes etc from time machine, was told this was the best way to go about it!

I know that 13" can be stuttery, but I don't see why your iMac would have problems.

Scrolling websites is now smooth as silk for me on Safari and Chrome (compared to ML, which was stuttery). Do you have many extensions on Safari?

Have you turned off font-smoothing in Sys Prefs>General? as that might reduce the load on text-heavy sites (and it looks much crisper in my opinion).
