Hi everyone hope your well, I got a quick Q will I be able to upgrade to Mavericks when it arrives. I have an intel MAC 10.6.8 S-Leopard 24 inch do I have to have M-lion and then upgrade.
Thanks in advance,
gilliard :)

If your Mac is able to run OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, it can also run OS X 10.9 Mavericks and in order to get OS X 10.9 Mavericks you just need Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, no need for either Mac OS X 10.7 Lion nor OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

Apple haven't released the official system requirements for Mavericks but they've taken a stab at which Macs are supported here. It also says you can upgrade straight from Snow Leopard if your hardware is supported.

As long as your current Opperating System has the Mac App Store you can upgrade directly from your OS to Mavericks.

As for compatibility these are the predicted requirements:

iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
Xserve (Early 2009)
