It has 2 RAM slots, and I read on EveryMac that that max RAM is 512MB, which I presume is 2x256MN. But under footnote, it says that higher RAM may be possible with higher density memory. Has anyone fitted 2x512MB into the iMac before?

Thanks. Does 16 chip means 2-sided?
Also will ECC modules work? I presume Registered modules won't...
