Hi everyone.

I have a mid 2010 Macbook pro that I'm trying to squeeze more life from. Upgraded to a 1Tb SSD but as I'm using large sample libraries for music I need more internal drive space. I've ordered the optibay to replace the superdrive. It's a mid 2010 6,2 1286.

My question is if I move the 1Tb to the optibay, can I install a 2Tb in the main HD space, or are these machines limited to 2 x 1Tb?

Thanks,

Bump! Did you find your answer somewhere else Azrehan?

I have the exact same computer, using it for the exact same thing (music) and almost the exact same question 😅

Can this MacBook Pro handle a 2TB SSD (Samsung EVO)?

And can I add later on maybe another 2TB HDD in the optibay?

I didn’t know there might be a limit to storage space o_O

Thanks a lot.
