Maxed Out MBA For Music Production?

Hi,
Hoping to get some feedback from people who use 13" Airs for Music Production, I use Pro Tools 11 & Ableton Live, my current 11 Inch air isn't cutting it, I have a Mac Pro at home so this is strictly a travel computer.

What do you think?

When working with big sessions it gets very hot and freezes up a lot, and the screen is a bit small.

My 13" Haswell MBA can do some Mainstage 2, but it maxes out pretty quick. For serious DAW work I'd say trade up to a quad-MBP.

I'll second the suggestion of a Macbook Pro.

For Pro Tools you'll definitely want to get a lot of RAM, it uses it to cache your files for zero latency.

I'll offer a third vote for the MacBook Pro. For professional graphics/video/photo work the MBP is the way to go. Plus the 15" model is gorgeous and that extra screen size will come in handy.
