Maximum amount of RAM in 15'' 2.53GHz late 2009 MacBook Pro

Could anyone tell me the real maximum amount of RAM a 15'' 2,53ghz late 2009 macbook pro could handle?

The Apple website says it's 8gb, but the past has learned me that it's mostly possible to go higher than what Apple says.

Is it possible to put more in it, or should I just get 8 max?
