Can anyone speculate what the maximum size available SSD in TB the build to order Macbook Pro Retina will have?

The new 13" can have a 1TB.

There are currently no laptop SSDs larger than 1TB on the market. So unless Apple squeezes two SSDs inside, there will be no increase in size.

- Actually, there is. Though only at quite exorbitant prices and possibly not in the PCI-E form factor Apple uses for the rMBPs.

Yes, there are some, but only for desktops and servers. This one is in 2.5" form. Intel also has a 1.2TB version priced at $1029.

- The one I linked to will function fine in a laptop, as it uses a normal SATA III interface.
