With my iPhone I amassed something like 800 apps so far. Of course all of the iPhone apps work on the iPad (except for a few camera related apps). As with the iPhone, the iPad appears to only be able to display something like 168 apps. However I notice that when I delete an app on my iPad another magically comes in to take it's space. I went to the iPad about and to my surprise there are about 350 apps there! Anyone know wat the maximum number of apps that the current iPad will hold? Somehow I think this is a precursor to the 4.0 software that will allow apps to be placed in folders and something like 2100 apps to be displayed.

Let us know your thoughts on this

Thanks

Ken

iPhone:
16 apps per page
11 pages
4 apps on the dock
16 x 11 + 4 = 176+4 = 180

iPad:
20 apps per page
11 pages
6 apps on dock
20 x 11 + 6 = 226

I think you can put as many as you want on but ones that are not on the homescreens u have to launch throught quicklook!

I have never maxed out the amount of apps on screens on either of my devices. I would be too annoyed flipping through that many pages of apps.

Guess why iPhone 4.0 has folder options? Apple doesn't want to limit how many apps you can buy.
