I did not format the Maxtor One Touch drive to Mac format and I loaded all my files onto the drive and now it does not recognize the external hard drive and keeps asking me to reformat it. How can I retrieve all the files without spending over $300 dollars.

Maxtor One Touch

I have a Powerbook G4 Titanium and I loaded the software from Maxtor and plugged in the drive and walla! I was able to see the drive and then I started to load all the files since the month of April of 2003 to September of 2003. And then one day, I turned on my computer and notice the Maxtor drive was no longer mounted on my desktop. I tried to recover the data through Disk Warrior and it says it does not recognize the drive because is not a Mac formated drive.
