Welcome to my frustration.

After installing the applications associated with my OneTouch III Mini, my MacBook Pro seems to be hemorrhaging memory. Without having installed anything else in the last day, I have somehow lost 4.5 GB of memory, which I believe may be caused by the Maxtor. It also apeears as if the memory that is lost on my MacBook becomes memory gained in the external harddrive--today, my laptop's available memory went from 17 GB to 13.5 GB while the available memory on the external went from 89.5 GB to 94 GB. However, from what I've seen, there are no files added or missing from my Mac and no files added or missing from my external hard drive.

Meanwhile, it also always seems to be syncing with something on my laptop, even if I don't have any syncing tasks specified. There were sync tasks before, but I have since erased them and re-installed the Maxtor software. Whatever it's doing, however, it prevents me from correctly ejecting the drive from OS X and in fact freezes Finder. In fact, looking on the Activity Monitor, the Maxtor SyncMyMac program is running for absolutely no reason at all.

If you can't help with either of the problems above, could you at least tell me how to completely uninstall Maxtor's software? It didn't seem to come with any kind of uninstallation app (which frustrates me to no end). Please. Help.

I have milk and cookies.
