You can import from Workout via Strava, its very simple.

Or track walks via the Strava watch app.
Thanks my Apple Watch Ultra friend I appreciate your kind words. I will definitely download it today and get this challenge done. 👍 cheers 👋🏻

Should I download the Strava app? I heard some people mention it in the last month thread. Can I still track walks from the watchOS Workout app with it?

My challenge is similar to the OP’s:

I personally find Strava to be far more motivating. Instead of one or so challenges per month there are literally dozens you can join depending on where your interests lie. The Strava challenges earn you badges which in some cases include coupon code rewards towards merch from the challenge sponsor or in some cases actual prizes so it does make it more fun and motivating that what Apple does. I do all the cycling ones, walking ones, and moving time ones. I'm not a runner... but Strava is great for runners too.

You can run Strava from your watch or phone and it can be set up to automatically push the data over to your Apple health so it counts towards your rings and the Apple challenges too.

When I'm cycling I track my ride using a GPS head unit on my bike. When I finish my ride it automatically syncs the data right over to my Strava and then Strava Syncs the data over to my Apple health. I don't have to think about any of it as its all automated for me.

Strava offers a free and premium package. The free plan is more than capable for the majority of users but if you're a fitness data nerd the premium plan adds a lot of great info that you can use to help plan your training.

Look me up when you get there.
Found you on there. Your name on Strava is the same name here on MR as your last name 😂 sent you a follow request

Thanks a bunch for all the Strava recommendations! I’ve given it a try and it’s awesome! 👍

Strava isn’t just for running. It also tracks strength training, core, yoga, Mindful Cooldown, and walking. They recently partnered with Apple Fitness+, and they have a 10-minute strength training video with Sam Sanchez on Fitness+ that advertises the app.

Since Strava and Apple have been working together for a few months now, all Strava users get a free 2-month Fitness+ trial. If you subscribe to the premium Strava features, you can also get a free 3-month trial of Apple Fitness+. But this offer ends in 2026, so I’ll have to grab it this summer when the next billing period comes.

Strava sends me notifications after my workouts and also syncs data from my Apple Watch workout app on my iPhone, including all my Fitness+ history from the past two months.

I also signed up for the challenges from the app that involve working out for a specific number of minutes each week or month. I’m also impressed that the developers behind this fantastic app have collaborated with workout and activewear companies. One of my favorite brands is Adidas, and I have a collection of trainers, shirts, and workout clothes from them. Adidas has a Strava challenge starting later this month. For every 10 minutes of activity, you’ll donate an euro, which is equivalent to $1.13 or 85p. This money will support charity work that aims to build sports facilities worldwide and restore them after natural disasters. It will also improve physical education for children and young people.
