I would like to know... Why is it that the MBP works better and faster when is connected to the AC?... With battery power runs slower!!!

Because the system scales the processor down to save battery life.

You can change this in the power settings.

Because when you are on battery life more than likely your machine is throwing on the optimization for "Better Energy Savings" which throws down the CPU's multiplier (runs slower) and shortens the spin time of the hard disk.

While plugged in everything is going full speed.

So how much time will I cut off from battery power if I modify the settings so it runs like if it's connected to the AC?
