Maya 2014 constantly freezing

I create a cube... Fine.

I try scaling the cube, the trouble starts.

Is this happening to anyone else? It still works, it just freezes every 5 minutes though. Nothing's coming up in console telling me that anything is going on.

Was it working before you upgraded to Mavericks? I'd see (or wait) for the developer to release an update if that's the case.
