today I installed the osx 10.3.9 system update with the result, that from that time on whenever I tryed to start the maya help my computer activates the internet, and of course it doesn't find anything because the necessary files are on my HD.
I tried the solutions maya offers in "if help isn't working". Setting the proxy access to localhost didn't help, it may sound stupid but I cannot use my computers IP address to specify the help location manually, because it doesn't show up in the network settings. (is there a unix command to look up your ip in the terminal?)And I cannot switch directories in the terminal and activate the help manually because when I try, the terminal prompts "No such file or directory"
Can anybody help me? I really don't know what to do, and Maya without a help is like London without a map
