Carrier Maybe I am stupid but T-Mobile keeps telling me I can use 2 esims together but I just don't believe it from what I read so far is this true or false ?

Here is exactly what I want to do. eSIM one used just for phone and text but have data (4g lte or 5g) as backup. eSIM two just for data (4g or 5g lte)

Is this possible ?

On iPhone 12, it is only possible to use one eSIM at a time even if the phone has more than one stored. I'm pretty sure there is an Apple Support article with exact details if you're interested.

You can have a working SIM in your phone with the eSIM. You just have to switch back and forth. It works well. I used to do that a few years ago.

Yes, if you are the primary account holder or an authorized user on the account. You can buy a SIM card and go onto your line on the website to “Change Sim”. You can activate eSIM the same way.
