I got this Western Civ Paper to do, but it's not your traditional research paper. The professor gave us a choice of a scenario to develop into a "research project". My scenario is;

It is 1989 and you are part of the crowd of young Germans that are dismantling the Berlin Wall after the fall of the East German government. Why are you there? Are there other people in other eastern European countries celebrating the fall of communist governments. What will become of East Germany after 1989?

If anyone has any personal or stories you've heard about the Berlin Wall, and such please post. Maybe I'll incorporate it into my paper.

I personally don't know much about the Berlin Wall besides the basics. Thanks guys.

I don't really have any stories. I did visit Berlin recently and was struck by how much the people have healed their wounds. There are still pieces of the wall sitting in various places in Potsdamer Platz (where the wall ran through) and it's quite chilling to see them.
