Hey there MacRumors residents:

I've released my first Mac OS X application. It's called Maze Runner. It's a maze-solving game, written in Java, with a maze editor included. Sometime in the future, I intend to release the source code as well. :D

You can find the application here: Maze Runner

Fun! Thanks for that mate. Is there a way you could give the user an option to turn off some of the warnings (such as "You can't go outside the maze")? Very cool job mate. :)

Thank you for the feedback - this feature is in the development builds of version 1.1, and will be available in the next release.

Awesome. Well keep us in the loop 'bout when it ships. If you're bored, I reckon you could get away with adding a bit more colour too. Not trying to be down on your stuff, just aiming for constructive criticism mate. It's better than anything I could do. :)

Color graphics are planned for version 1.2, mainly because I still have yet to make them :p It is a feature I plan on implementing, though. Also, a Windows release is in the works, and will be posted sometime soon.

Version 1.10 of Maze Runner has been released. The source code is now available to download, and instructions for Windows users have also been added.

New features:
Improved user interface
Added a preferences dialog with options to change graphics set, graphics size, and enable/disable various in-game messages

Maze Runner V1.11 has been released.

What's new:
Fixed a bug that caused the editor to not save mazes with the right extension.
Fixed a problem with the source that caused weird things to happen when decompressed on Windows.

Maze Runner V1.20 has been released.

Many new features and bug fixes in this release - too many to list here, in fact :p

Maze Runner V1.30 has been released.

New features:
Added stairs up, stairs down, and 4 kinds of one-way walls.

Bugs fixed:
In the editor, the coordinates were not being computed properly when placing an object.
