I have a Macbook Aluminium 5,1 Intel core 2 Due, 4 GB, 160GB HD.

I have had it for a 2 and a half years. 15 charge cycles on the battery which is 6 months old also has a newer trackpad around a year old.

I'm hoping for around £400 for this...what do you think?

If I can also have a few opinions, I plan to put this to either a lowest end MBP or lowest end 13 inch MBA. Will the 1.7 i5 be any faster at all in terms of gaming as a few games can lag a bit at the moment.

Go onto ebay, type your machine into the search field then tick the box so it displays offers which have ended. That will give you an idea of what other people have been getting for the same or similar machines.

The Intel HD 3000 in the MBA's and the MBP's are quicker than the GeForce 9400M in your current macbook. I think you should see a slight increase in gaming performance, but don't expect a drastic change. Also the CPU is a lot quicker than your Core 2 duo. Double the benchmark scores if I recall correctly.
