mb freezing...

my mb has started freezing up on me. when i hold the power button down to turn it off and then restart it, it freezes at the blue screen... wtf? when i finally got in and could move the cursor, the first thing i did was empty my trash. one of the movies (conan hyborian preview could not be deleted as it was in use. ummm, by what? finally i could delete it, and mb froze again... im very frustrated, i got a mac because this wasnt supposed to happen to them. only ms.. oops.

any suggestions would be nice. thanks

What sort of third party hardware (including RAM) do you have installed? Maybe check Console in the Utilities folder to see if it has picked up anything in the crash logs.
