I havent found a tutorial yet for a clean install after hnstalling new HD for my MB..could someone give me step by step instructions on how to do it?

Im not using an external enclosure because im not backing up. Im going to upgrade the HDD out of the box. Thanks everyone!

When I upgraded mine I just stuck it in, then pushed the power button, it told me to stick the install disc in and Tada! I was back in action. Good luck!

Start up from the Mac OS X Install Disc 1, and choose your
language.

From the menu bar, choose Utilities > Disk Utility.

Open Disk Utility and select the new drive in the list to the left.
Note: If you are formatting the primary drive, use the Disk Utility program on the Install disc.

Click the Partition tab.

Click on Options, and verify GUID is selected if this is the startup drive.
Name the volume “Macintosh HD.”

Apply the change by clicking the Partition button.

Quit the Disk Utility application, and proceed with the Mac OS X installation.

Follow the onscreen instructions. After selecting the destination disk for installation, continue following the onscreen instructions.
