Hi all, so my 5 yr old Dell Latitude D800 has died. I am in the market of buying a new laptop. I'm unsure if I should spend the extra cash and wait for the MBP update or go ahead and get the MB. I will be using the computer for internet, music, schoolwork and other basic functions. But I also occasionally play online games like world of warcraft. Will the MB be enough? or should I pay the extra cash, wait, and get the MBP?

Why the MB or new MBP? Why not just get the current MBP if you need it right away? It's a good machine - you won't be disappointed.

If you're only occasionally playing games, there's no point in getting the Macbook pro as it's just more expensive. The macbook would be more than enough power for you.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I've decided to go with the MB because I will save $600+ and it should be suitable for all my needs. Plus getting a MBP know would just make me upset once the update comes out. Hopefully next time I post on the site I'll be on my new macbook.

Just an FYI, the MacBook WILL NOT play online MMOs well. I used to play MMOs a lot - including WoW - and almost all of them will not run on a MacBook. That is the biggest problem with MBs, they have an integrated graphics card. So, if you're thinking of gaming...forget it!!! The only MMO that works somewhat is EVE and that's still in EVE Mac "beta".
