Hi, I am a new owner of MB Pro 16" (i7 2,6ghz, 16GB RAM, AMD Radeon 5300M 4GB).
I had the MB Pro 13 2019 (Intel i5 1,4GHz, 8GB RAM, Intel Iris 645)
I always wanted the 16 inch MB, so therefore I didn't think of the M1 chip because it is only in 13 inch.
However I didn't realize that Apple will introduce new Macbooks tomorrow. I don't know if I made a mistake that I bought an older one.
I bought it for 4K video editing and photos in PS.
Is there anyone who owns the basic model of 16" MB Pro? Who will change to the new MacBooks?

If you bought from Apple and are within 14 days, return it if you have doubts.
We will know within 26 hrs all the details, so stop speculating or read the many posts here… no one knows, everything is rumor and speculation

You didn’t buy an older one. You bought what was currently available and the computer was manufactured in 2021. Are you still in the return window? If you like what you see tomorrow you can always return it and get the new one.

I own the 2019 16" base model (had it since launch day) and I will definitely be upgrading to the new one. As others have said, if you are in your return window, it would probably be a good idea to pack it up and take it back. That being said, if you are not in your return window, then you still have yourself a great device. I have used my base model 16" for 4K video editing, Graphic Design, App Development, 3D Modeling and Rendering, Music Production and Web Design and it has been able to keep up with all of those task without issue.

My reason for updating mostly has to do with battery life, thermal issues and graphics performance since I'm starting to venture into other project types that require a beefier GPU.
