Hi guys,

The battery has swollen on my Macbook after years of use, - I noticed it after opening the cover. What I've done, - I disconnected and connected the battery on the motherboard. After turning on, the battery was no longer detected. ☝️

I ordered and replaced it with a new one from iFixit. Unfortunately, the issue remains the same - the system doesn't see the battery at all (you can check the screenshot above, also the Coconut app doesn't load).

* The laptop works fine while it's connected to power and shuts down if I disconnect it.

* The charging indicator on the power cord is constantly orange.

* I tried to reset NVRAM and SMC, connect/disconnect the battery, re-install OS... multiple times.

Any ideas WHAT TO DO?

I suppose, that I have to bring it to the service to check the condensers on the motherboard...?

Take to the repair centre immediately, i think battery cable may be loose or some other hardware issue

Problem will lie in the charging circuit. Either the isl6259 or a failed resistor. Should be a pretty easy fix for an experienced 3rd party tech. Don't bother taking it to Apple or any of their authorised repairers, they will just want to sell you a new logic board.

Thanks! Will try to find a repairer near me ;)
