I've had my MB (unibody) 13" since January 2009, and we've always got along very well. Until now.
When I take a break from work, I'll shut the lid, so it falls to sleep. When I come back, I'll open it back up. Everything normal thus far. Up until that point, it runs cool to the touch (I normally have only a few apps open: Mail, Word, Devonthink Pro, Firefox/Chrome, Keynote, iCal). Within a few minutes after waking from sleep, however, the fans kick at high speed. It is now very hot indeed to the touch. I shut everything down, and restart the MacBook. It gets to the blue screen, the little wheel goes round and round...and that's it. It freezes there. I have to hold the power button down to shut it off.
When I boot it up again, it's fine - until it goes to sleep again. The process then starts all over again.
I was a long-time Windows user before getting the MB, so I'm not sure how to diagnose the fault (I presume it's software-related, not hardware), and correct it. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
