MB & Travel: To sell or not to sell?

Hey all -- bought a MB C2D 2.0 in late Feb 2007 - applecare runs out in Feb 2008

I'm about to go travelling (without computer) for 3-12 months. (around 6 is likeliest)

Here's the question

Should I sell (approx 1,000 - 1,100 CAD)
Buy extended applecare ($225 CAD from ebay)
Just stick it in storage

When I return to Canada (or settle down somewhere else) I'll definitely need a computer.

I'm mostly concerned with making the most economically viable decision.
