MB used shows incorrectly

Hi,

On my desktop I display the GB Used and GB Free info under each mounted file system.
Strangely they show as incorrect. Mac HD shows as 44Gb free where as if you actually open the disk there is 38Gb. The same is true with my External USB drives.

Any ideas how you get it to show the correct info ?

I've run the daily / weekly and monthly scripts using Cocktail.

If have also found this I believe that this is just the FInder being slow at updating the information. I don't know of a fix.
