Help!

I have no idea why but without changing anything my macbook has stopped seeing my wifi router. I was using a Siemens router when it stopped a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't fix it so bought an airport extreme (wanted the airdisk anyway) but it won't connect to this either. Works fine over ethernet, while my iPhone and an old iBook work wirelessly without difficulty.

Nothing appears in the airport menu - it isn't even seeing the networks. I figured it must be a hardware issue so took it to local apple store - where it connected without trouble. However it won't see networks at home nor at any friends' houses. This doesn't make any sense!

I've tried everything i can think of, even wiping and clean reinstallation.

Can anyone help????
