Hi Guys,

I've narrowed down my new Mac to 4 options. See below for details. These are HE prices and the I've included the cashback I can get via topcashback and a rough price I should be able to sell the voucher for. The monitor I'd be buying is a 24" Dell UltraSharp U2412M Widescreen IPS LED Monitor (1920x1200).

A little bit of background. I currently have an early 2011 MacBook Pro 2.2GHz i7 w/ High-Res Matte Display. In terms of CPU performance, this is far more than I need. I do like the higher resolution as it allows me to fit two windows side-by-side fairly well when I need to. I'm tired of the size and weight of the laptop though and the sluggishness of the standard HDD. I use the laptop for casual stuff web browsing/email/etc and photoshop for light photo editing and for web design work, so nothing overly intensive. I also need to run a Windows 7 virtual machine.

I'd like to sometimes use my laptop away from a desk (say sat on my lap in the garden or while watching TV on a sofa). The MBP is just too heavy/bulky to do this well so I'm after something lighter and possibly smaller than the current MBP. All the options I've picked offer this to a certain extent. I used to own a first generation iPad and I do miss the size of this for casual browsing while away from a desk so hopefully the 11" would be a good substitue for this if I go for one of those.

I don't really plan on gaming on the laptop, as I have an xbox/ps3 and prefer gaming on my larger TV screen than a smaller monitor.

I can't decide whether to go with an Air, and if so which size, or a MBPR. This will be be sole machine.

So guys, what should I do? :)
