mba 11 slow startup??

My new mba 11 (basic) seems to be a LOT slower on boot-up than the ones on youtube... when I press the power button, the screen stays black for about 10-12 seconds before the little apple icon appears... after that, it's pretty quick, another 10-12 seconds...??? but others claim 12-17 seconds total..?

anyone else have this?
