MBA 11" ultimate vs an old imac

How does the speed compare to an iMAC C2D 3.06 GHz with 4 Gb memory and a GT130 graphics card ???? I use FC Studio HD on my imac and rendering goes very slowly. Just curious if such a small notebook really surpassed my old iMac in terms of speed.
