i am torn between getting the higher end 128gb with for 4gb of ram 11in Macbook air or getting the lower end model and upgrading the ram to 8gb. They have an almost identical price point. and i honestly think that 128gb would be enough for me not to have to buy a external hard drive, although with 64gb i definitely will need to. i guess my question is the 8gb of ram important enough for me to eventually buy a hard drive, or will the 4gb ram work just fine and allow me to save 100 or so bucks on buying an external hdd. but if i find that 4gb of ram isnt enough, im screwed! i plan on using it for light gaming (in limbo and minecraft), photoshop, word processing, little gargeband stuff, and of course web browsing yadah yadah.

Any thoughts?! Thanks

I would satisfy your SSD needs before RAM. When deciding between 128 and 256, maybe not. But 64gb is puny, plus if you say you'll probably need a external HD, that's no fun.

Get the 128 4gb
