Hello,

I am on the market for a 13" laptop. I am considering the MBA 13" and MBP 13".

I know i can upgrade the MBP to 16GB of RAM and replace the HDD with a SSD. My concern would be the battery life after such upgrades. Would i see a very noticeable decrease on battery life after upgrading?

I can get the MBP 13" brand new for $1099, or a MBA 13" for $1199.

Thanks

No, those upgrades won't impact battery life significantly. There are many factors that impact your battery life. See the BATTERY LIFE FROM A CHARGE section of the following link for details, including tips on how to maximize your battery life.

The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it.
