MBA 13" base + iPad mini 2, OR rMBP 13" 2.4/8/256

Two options:
- MBA base + iPad mini 2
- rMBP 2.4/8/256

Both are about the same price. Which would you pick, and why?

Personally, I would go with the rMBP.

I would not be able to live with the screen on the MBA for 3-4 years (how long I usually keep my MacBooks for)

Also, The Silver bezel on the Air is a no go for me.

From those options the rMBP is a no-brainer for me.
Considering an iPad, it all depends on your usage. To read stuff for, let's say, college, I'd just pick up the iPad Air. If you want to use it in your hands I'd go for the mini.
(if you're undecided just look at the mini's display issues)

Although the MBA + iPad mini 2 is pretty tempting I'd have to go with the rMBP, but maybe it's because I need a computer and already have an IPad.

Also, if you are talking of the 11 inch MBA, the need for an IPad is not as big since the MBA is already so portable!
