Hi, this MacBook Air is 13 inch and is one generation before thunderbolt ports.

What cable should I buy to output video to a TV?

(For the white MacBook I bought a mini-DVI to DVI adapter to hook it on the display)

Thank you

Thank you blevins, so it's a Mini Displayport on the MBA end.

The Thunderbolt port also supports miniDisplayPort too, just FYI. I've used my mDP to HDMI adapter with my 2011 MBA.

Note: not all mDP to HDMI adapters carry audio. I believe more of them do now, but a few months ago it could be hit and miss and you had to read the info very carefully when choosing one. Nevertheless, monoprice.com beats apple.com on price by a long shot.
