looks like i made another impulsive buy...
apparently the factory settings for the 2.16 rev.c, keep the fans at 6000rpm all the time, which practically makes it a wind turbine
basically if you do any work at all, the temperature goes to at least 55C, which spins up the fans to 6000rpm (and i am no dummy that keeps a zillion tabs with flash)... speedstep keeps the CPU at 1.6gz most of the time anyway
i read the forum before i got the AIR, hoped fan.control 2.1 http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/23137 would work on the AIR, just at it works on my MBP, but the settings are ignored on the AIR
so is anybody able to control the fans? i would want 2000rpm untill it goes over 60C, and then a linear increase to 6000rpm, as it would reach 80C
