Hey,
following problem: i have a 2010 and a 2011 13" MBA Model here; since i wanted to test if the failure from the 2010 model (left alt and shift key didn't work anymore) is caused from the keyboard itself or the controller i swapped the two trackpads.
And later on i recognized that indeed the trackpad/keyboard-controller was the problem. Now the left alt and shift key in my 2011-model don't work anymore.
Since I can live with that in my 2011 model (I don't care much about the two keys because it's mostly in a setup with a wireless keyboard) I won't swap the trackpads/controllers back.
But what can i do with the hotkeys on top? Since the 2011 model has a backlit keyboard all the hotkeys moved (from f6) +1 to the right; the eject key is missing, and f5 and f6 are now dimming and enlighting backlit keyboard like the MBP's.
I think I have to manually install the driver to the 2011model for the right input controller. Is this possible?
