Have had a look at Lion. Extreme 'meh'. A few cosmetic polishes, but they've buggered up the sidebar in Finder for absolutely no good reason I can see. I guess if they push out a service pack for Office 2011 that takes advantage of Autosave and Versions it could be cool.

However for my MBA I guess it's a bit more critical; given that I've already run Snow Leopard for six months, what are the implications of the improved SSD support for a) general maintenance & speed and b) secure erase.

Can a secure erase now be done? Even if I've been running Snow Leopard for six months?
