My MBA 2011 is not charging, the plug does not light up. When i plug it in the status says Not charging.

You may want to schedule an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar have it checked out. If you have another plug from a friend, try plugging that in to determine if the power cord has gone bad or the charging port on your machine.
