which has a better performance the max out MBA 13" 2014 with i7 processor,512 gb ssd and 8gb ram or
the Mac mini w/ 2.3ghz i7,256 gb ssd and 16gb RAM? portability is not an issue to me since ill be doing my stuff at home and for me performance is what matters most. Ill be doing simple 3d mobile game dev and web designing/development.

You're comparing apples to oranges ... the machines are in no way alike.

Obviously, the mini is going to provide better performance.

The entire point of the MBA is portability. If you don't need to take the computer with you, the mini is the better option.
