Hi all,
I am going back and forth between upgrading to the MBP and the MBA. Is it correctly understood that the MBP 2020 13'' and the MBA 2020 actually share the exact same GPU? Intel Iris Plus. That is a surprise to me.
I would like to hear, if any of you use it for office use connected to the LG 4K Ultrafine - that would be my setup. Any lag or fan speed up?
Also: Do the MBA 2020 come with truetone?
Thanks
Morten

I don't have LG 4k ultrafine monitor but I use my MBA 2020 with dell ultrasharp 4k 27" monitor for programming and office work. I see no lag or heat issues (hovers around 60 degrees). I have i7, 16gb version. Yes, MBA 2020 comes with truetone.

The main reasons to go MBP (10th gen):

Two internal fans
Significantly faster storage I/O performance
Slightly better display (500 nits and DCI/P3 color space)

I've got the older and far better 21.5" (4096x2304 or ~1152p) UltraFine 4k display as opposed to the newer 23.7" (3840x2160 or ~1080p) display. Run my i5 2020 10th gen MBP in clamshell mode (and did the same with i7 2020 MBA). No excessive heat issues with either... temps run in 33-45C range under typical use.
