Hey all.

Like many others, I am about to choose between the most powered up MBA and the most powered up MBP (13").

I am really turned on by the smoothnes, stilth and weight of the MBA, but I am worried the processor won't be enough to deal with Ableton Live - Both recording but mostly for Live performance using more than one plug-in, sample-shooting and backtrack. Anyone with any experience in that area?

Thanks...

Ableton really likes being run on a fast CPU. While the MBA might be enough for your needs, you could encounter problems.

You can either buy a MBA, test Ableton on it for a few days and exchange it for a MBP immediately if you realize you need a better CPU, or wait for the next MBA revision which is assumed to be released between June and September. Maybe you can even find a store with Ableton preinstalled to test?
