MBA as Target Display Mode possible?

I haven't been able to find anything, so I figure I might try asking.
There appears to be a similar post to this, but there was no final conclusion.

I know you can enable Target Display Mode on the latest iMac provided the other Mac has a TB port. Can you turn the MBA into a secondary display via Target Display Mode or something equivalent if you have a TB connection, or would I be stuck with needing something like MaxiVista?
