I am looking at a early 2014 MacBook Air used. The backlight is out on the unit the seller said they had a minor spill on it about 8 months ago and the unit worked absolutely fine for that time after the spill. Went to open up the MBA one morning and the backlight wouldn't come on. Screen works and the unit itself works fine. There selling it for $200 is it worth it? I went to a local ubreakifix store and they said more than likely it was the backlight fuse on the I/O board roughly $300 to repair. Looking for opinions I understand he may be guessing to an extent. Heck I may even get lucky and reset the SMC and PRAM and it may start working. At $200 could I get my money back if I part it out? Just looking for honest advice please.
