Hi,

I have recently bought a MacBook Air and have installed my free upgrade to Mountain Lion and my battery goes down quite quickly by just browsing the internet! Is this normal?

just general browsing around i have mail and skype running all the time but i would say it lasts 3 hours at a push

How bright is your screen set at?

Does having skype running mean your webcam is on all the time? I imagine that would be quite a drain.

I agree I think Skype is probably draining the battery and the brightness must play a factor as well..

10.8.1 is supposed to address issues with battery life. If it was fine on 10.7.x and was drastically hurt by 10.8, you should see improvements in 10.8.1.

I too have read complaints about ML's battery life on the MBA. One of the perils of early adoption.
