MBA Charger making a noise while charging

I don't really know if it's something serious or not but last night i was sitting near my charger and charging my MacBookAir and i noticed that, the charger making noise while charging. It reminds me a bit of the sound you hear when you turn up the volume of speakers to the maximum while they get no signal. You can just hear it, in a silent room and near there charger , thats why i haven't heard this sound yet .
Is that common or should I ask Apple about it?

It's not uncommon for the MagSafe adapter to get very hot or make a noise when charging. It's fine.

It's common and completely normal. Not just for this charger but just about every single charger or power supply out there.

I think you are right , becouse in my case i hadent been noticed before last night that i was really sitting close to my charger

I listened for it all day and haven't heard it buzzing yet.

I never hear my 2010 MBA 13 charger buzzing or get hot while charging.

Not all of them do, but it's common that some do. There's nothing wrong wrong with an adapter that gets hot or makes noise.

Did you ever try to listen when your charger working and your battery percentage is somthing around 40% to 60%?

I listened for it all day and haven't heard it buzzing yet.

Not all of them do, but it's common that some do. There's nothing wrong wrong with an adapter that gets hot or makes noise.

It won't catch fire or harm your computer at all. It's operating as designed.

I know this thread is really old, but I have been using a 2011 MacBook Air & charger for a while, and whenever it's charging it's making a buzzing sound as well. Don't really think its designed to do that.

Definitely don't want to leave this thing alone while it charges...

It is most likely due to the old capacitors in it.

Not really... If you want you can get it swapped at a Apple Store.
