MBA External CD Drive for MBP?

Hello!

Haven't posted in a while. My MBP has a dent going in to the CD Drive, so therefore I can slide CD's in with no problem but cannot take them out of the CD drive due to the dent.

Is the MBA external CD drive compatible with my MBP by any chance?

Any help would be great thank you!

Have you thought of perhaps gently working out the dent instead of buying another drive? The computer is made of aluminum, as you know, which makes it very malleable. The MBA Superdrive was incompatible with older MacBook Pro's, and as far as I know, that's still the case with the newer unibody models.
