No idea why those pics are upside down.
But went to Apple Genius Bar and here is what happened.

They are repairing the MBA under the Consumer Law (the EU 6 year thing).
Bottom Case
Top Case
Keyboard/Trackpad
New Battery
Plus if the motherboard or anything else is damaged it will be covered and fixed too

I had an iPod once that had a faulty battery that swelled up and did something similar. It's good news if you can get it repaired their cost.
 
Your battery failed and swelled up. Same happened to the one I have, except smoke also poured out of the keyboard - this is why my friend gave it to me gratis.

I never even thought to take to Apple under the EU 6-year limit of liability law. I just replaced the battery myself.
 
I only took it back out of the off chance they could do something.
didnt expect them to do all of what they said.

to be fair it will be like a new unit (appearance wise)
